She began her dance career in 1991. She started hip hop and lyrical dancing in middle school. Upon entering college at the prestigious Bethune Cookman University in Florida, she became a member of the renowned 14 Karat Gold Dancers. She served as the captian of the 14 Karat Gold Dancers until she graduated.
After graduating, she moved to Goldsboro, North Carolina where she was entrusted with becoming the instructor of the Ladies of Essence Dancers for Eastern Wayne High School Marching Band. She started with only 3 young ladies and over 10 years, she grew the dance program to winning 1st place at competitions.
In 2016, Ms. Kim started a new adventure and joined A Drummers World Performing Arts School as a dance instructor. She developed a community based dance team known as The Golden Xplosion Dancers. She grew that organization to over 60 girls from ages 5-21.
In March 2018, Ms. Kim decided to live out her long time dream and open her very own dance studio. Giving birth to the new Dancing Divas Of Destruction also known as Triple D Dancers. Welcome to Triple D Dance Studio!
DeMorris Reid is a Goldsboro Native. He started out managing the Ladies of Essence danceline for Eastern Wayne High School in 2010, where he received his dance training. He later became the assistant dance coach from 2011-2013.
In 2016, he joined A Drummers World Performing Arts School as the Assistant Dance Instructor of the mini dancers. In March of 2018,he joined the Triple D family to continue fulfilling his dreams of coaching dance.
Coach Quan is an alumni of Charles B Aycock High School and a Goldsboro native. Laquan Reid, pursued his education at Lenoir Community College in Prehospital Health Sciences. Laquan is a nationally registered paramedic and a North Carolina paramedic.
Aside from being an assistant dance coach, Laquan also handles any medically related issues for Triple D Dance Studios.
