Shalona Phillips, also known as Coach Lona, a 32-year-old dance enthusiast hailing from Goldsboro, NC. My passion for dance ignited at the young age of 10 when I embarked on my journey in various dance styles including Hip Hop, Praise & Worship, and Dance Line. Throughout my dance career, I have had the privilege of being a part of esteemed dance teams such as the Infinity Dance Team, Warriorettes Hip Hop Dance Team, and the L.O.E (Ladies Of Essence) Dance Line.

My formative years in dance were enriched by my involvement in the Eastern Wayne High School Marching Band, where I honed my skills under the tutelage of the renowned Ms. Kim. I also had the opportunity to share my knowledge and passion for dance by instructing dance classes at The Boys & Girls Club of Goldsboro, NC, during the summer months.

In 2022, I embarked on a new chapter in my dance journey as a coach with Triple D, and it has been an absolute joy to be part of this talented team. My message to every aspiring dancer is to remember that your dance journey is unique and incomparable to anyone else’s. Embrace your individuality, create your own dance style, and give it your all – make it authentically you.
I am dedicated to empowering and inspiring dancers of all levels to find their own voice and express themselves through the art of dance.

I look forward to continuing to share my passion for dance and mentor the next generation of dancers on their path to greatness.
